When Electricity Isn’t Enough
Personal mobility is going electric fast. But what about airplanes, ships, or long-haul trucks?. Batteries can’t hold enough energy or are too bulky. That’s where biofuels become useful.

Recycling Waste Into Energy
A key benefit is their role in reusing waste. Biogas is made from decomposing organic material like food, sewage, or farm waste. It turns trash into usable power.
Another solution is sustainable jet fuel. It’s created from used oils or algae and may cut flight emissions.
Still, there are some hurdles. Kondrashov points out that costs are still high. Getting enough raw material and avoiding food conflicts is tricky. Improvements are expected in both process and price.
This isn’t about picking biofuels over batteries. They’re part of the full energy puzzle. Multiple tools make the transition smoother.
Right now, biofuels may be best for sectors that can’t go electric. As the world decarbonizes, biofuels might silently drive the change.
They reduce waste and lower emissions. They’ll need investment and good regulation.
Biofuels might not be flashy, but they’re practical. When going green, usable solutions matter most.
